Our Haunted Past
Our most recent exciting experience came around the holidays in
late 2002. I was sitting in my office talking to my son who was standing, facing me. Beside me was my wife's office chair
that was facing the same direction as my chair (facing my son).
As we chatted, a notebook that was sitting on my wife's chair suddenly
flew off (not fell off) of it, and landed on the floor to the left of the chair. I looked down and saw the notebook propped
up against the inside of the desk, and asked my son what he had just seen. He said, "Dad, that notebook just flew off the
chair." I asked him if it could have just fallen, and he pointed out that the seat is flat. It was clear that that notebook
had been pushed off the chair. I suppose someone wanted to sit there and did not wish to sit on the notebook!
For those first visiting this site, here's
the background:
When I got married in 2000, I moved into my wife's house. We have each
other, the kids, the dogs, and the ghosts. We have learned a lot about our "guests" since I moved in, and have had many
experiences with them. We have also learned that these visitors may have actually been here since the late 1800s, but
more on that later. For the most part, they have provided us with entertainment and even companionship.
Each of us (my wife, four sons and I) have had unexplained experiences
in our home. At times, some of these experiences have been witnessed by more than one of us at a time. Other times, the
ghosts will just play little gags on one of us when we think we are alone. Very rarely have we witnessed any sort of anger
from the ghosts, but once my wife heard the voice of a woman screaming, "Shut up!" when one of our dogs kept barking. Quite
understandably, the dog came running downstairs with his tail between his legs (a pretty funny sight for a German Shepherd/Labrador
mix).
This website will show you a few unexpected images in family photos,
some of which were taken elsewhere. Apparently, we aren't the only ones in the family with guests in the house. By
the way, each time we have discovered orbs and vectors in our pictures, they have appeared totally unexpected. I
have learned that orbs and vectors show up when you least expect them. Ask anyone who knows me well, I am not the kind of
person to doctor a photograph and make false claims. What you see is what you get, Sparky.
